HMS Frigate Unicorn
HMS UNICORN, of 46 guns, was built as a sailing frigate for the Royal Navy and was launched in 1824. One of the six oldest ships in the world she is now preserved as a historic ship and visitor attraction in Dundee, and is only a short walk from RSS Discovery! Step onboard this historic Warship and travel back in time to the days when Britannia ruled the waves.

Industrial Heritage

European Route of Industrial Heritage ERIH is the European Route of Industrial Heritage, a network of the most important industrial heritage sites in Europe. It is the common link between them all. From disused production plants to industrial landscape parks and inter-active technology museums. The backbone of the route consists of the so-called anchor points: the outstanding industrial monuments in the former heartlands of the Industrial Revolution, Great Britain, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and Germany. But this is just the beginning. For ERIH intends to grow further - right to the borders of Europe.

The Blairgowrie Golf Club The Blairgowrie Golf Club offers two majestic heathland courses that capture the essence of the Scottish golfing experience. Open all year round.

Downfield Golf Club Downfield is recognised as one of the finest inland course in the United Kingdom. It has played host to many events over its long history but it was the great honour of being a Final Qualifying venue for the Open Championship at Carnoustie in 1999, that has put Downfield Golf Club rightly, near the top of the tree as a golfing destination. Downfield also hosted Final Open Qualifying in July 2007.

Fishing at Forbes of Kingennie
Kingennie has trout fishing (rainbow, blue, gold, brown), with bait and fly-fishing on four well-stocked pools year-round. Catches vary according to the season and pool, from fighting trout of 1lb to 'old and cunning' fish of over 20lbs.
