Not just a Visitor Attraction

Discovery Point and Verdant Works have hosted a wide range of functions.

Verdant Works is a great location for events such as an ‘Indian Evening' with a selection of curries to sample. Entertainment can be Sitar Player or Traditional Indian Dance Demonstrations to enhance your evening. This can take place in the exhibition galleries within the ‘The Works’. Or, what about a spooky Halloween Night with creepy crawlies and ghosties round every corner? Do you dare to enter?

Discovery Point has also hosted a variety of events from drinks receptions aboard RRS Discovery, BBQ’s on the quayside to dinners in the main function suite at Discovery Point. The function suite, is bordered by a 15m floor to ceiling window, and has magnificent views of RRS Discovery and the River Tay which provides a stunning backdrop for dinners and receptions.

Themed nights are always fun, so why not gamble on the horses at a Race Night or try your poker face at a Casino Night? Be as smart as Poirot with a Murder Mystery or let your hair down at a 70s night. What about an activities event - try your hand at deck quoits, knot tying, the Discovery Quiz and also gird and cleek races with a BBQ fit for a polar explorer.
