How you can support Dundee Heritage Trust

Dundee Heritage Trust is a registered charity (No SC002268) with responsibility for the care and interpretation of the internationally significant Royal Research Ship Discovery and its associated museum Discovery Point and for Scotland’s Jute Museum @ Verdant Works, one of the nation’s most important textile museums. Both sites are Accredited museums and have won numerous awards, both national and international.

It costs around £1 million each year to run the two museums, care for the collections, provide exemplary learning services and maintain one of the world’s most important ships and an ‘A’ listed mill building.

Dundee Heritage Trust receives no subsidies from national government and only a small subsidy from local government that equates to just 6% of the organisation's running costs. Accordingly, we are dependent on both our commercial activities and fundraising initiatives.

Dundee Heritage Trust requires support for a wide range of projects including the care and conservation of our collections including the RRS Discovery, exhibitions, learning programmes and capital developments.

Companies, charitable trusts, foundations and individuals can all support our work.

Whichever way you choose to support, you can be assured that your help will contribute directly to the conservation and educational activities of Dundee Heritage Trust.
