Did you know that until the 1950s most countries did not allow women to work in Antarctica? Thankfully today women are playing leading and influential roles in Arctic and Antarctic research. Join whale biologist, Claire Lacey to hear more about her work in a male dominated industry, her experience of undertaking research in the Arctic, Antarctic and elsewhere in the Atlantic and her time on-board the current RRS Discovery.
